Implementing / using VAS in SSI Web

Hi all,

I'm wondering if there is a way of implementing a VAS (Visual Analog / Analogue Scale) survey style in SSI Web. Maybe with sliders, or that isn't appropriated? I saw this thread concerning implementing sliders ( https://www.sawtoothsoftware.com/forum.php?cmd=show&thread=1608&posts=3 ), in case of the sliders option, it seems a good starting point.

Also, if there's something native in SSI Web (I doubt, since I didn't find anything in the manual), it is implemented from which version? This is important to me, since I'm using version 7.0.26.

Thank you all,
João Fernandes

I believe Sawtooth V8 incorporates sliders. We will be moving to V8 shortly so I'll be looking forward to this feature too.

There is also an old forum entry that refers to a solution (see the Oct 4 entry).

Good luck.

Hi Paul,

Thanks, I already had seen and download this solution, and indeed I can confirm that in version 8.0 there will be sliders incorporated (if you want, install the 8.0 demo and see section - "Semantic Differential" - of the manual - page 77 in the PDF).

In short, a new type of question was added to SSI Web, called semantical differential, and it can be used with sliders or radio buttons.
