Can we have a multi-select option in the must-have and unacceptable questions of ACBC?

In general, we advise against allowing respondents to specify multiple must-have levels or multiple unacceptable levels within a single screen.  The worry is that respondents will be too likely to specify levels that in reality are not really must-haves or not really unacceptables.  We experienced that in the 1980s with ACA and its Unacceptables section.

However, if you really want to do this, you can trick the software by specifying more than the recommended number of Must-Have or Unacceptable questions and then putting them on adjacent pages.

For example, you could ask 3 "Screener" questions, followed by 2 Unacceptable questions, followed by another "Screener" question, etc.

The respondent cannot select multiple levels within the same Unacceptable question...but because we put two Unacceptable questions on adjacent pages, the respondent can accomplish the same thing (specify that two levels are Unacceptable) prior to moving onto the next "Screener" question.

Thank you! I will use this trick then.
