Analyzing a tracking conjoint survey

I'm running the second wave of a CBC conjoint survey, with the first wave being run last year. The levels and attributes are exactly the same, and in fact we're employing the same experimental design used last wave.

My question is: Would it be better to run the HB analysis on this wave only, or would it make more sense to combine the raw data of both waves, and run the HB after setting the "wave" variable as a covariate?

That's a wonderful question.  I think I'd be tempted to leverage the first wave data by estimating using both waves within the same data set and specifying wave as a covariate.
