Utility scores by Levels

Question

Hello,

If I take the average utility scores across all respondents for each level,
the scores are different compared to the utility scores generated by SMRT software for each level?
Is there any calculation which goes in SMRT because of which the scores differ?

I use HB estimation tool for generating raw utilities

When SMRT shows the utilities on the screen during simulation reports, it uses the "Zero-Centered Diffs" rescaling option, which normalizes the utilities for each person to have the same scale.  This of course will not be the same as the original raw utilities prior to normalization.
