How to weight CBC data

Hi all,

I have a CBC exercise that is linked to a survey. The main survey has weighted the data and provided me with a "weight" variable.

My question is how do I weight the CBC data and report on weighted utilities? I remember that HB/CBC doesn't consider weighting and we need to apply it afterwards. Do I just apply the weight variable to utilities?

Or do I report utilities without weight, and then introduce the "weight" variable to the simulator?

Yes, you can just apply the weighting variable (post hoc) to the HB utilities...and also apply the weight to the market simulations (shares of preference for individuals) one does on the HB utilities.
