Columns in Select Question

Hi,

Is there a way to make columns in a select question more spaced out?
I am currently using two questions, but they are close together and would be nice if the columns could have more space between them.

Thank you!

When a select question is set to use multiple columns, what the page does is split the question's space into N equal-width sections then puts the items into the various sections.  If we want to effectively increase the amount of whitespace between the two columns, two options come to mind.

The first would be to shrink the second column's width.  If the content of the second column's items don't need a whole 50% of the shared space, we could lessen it with CSS like one of these:

<style>
#[% QuestionName() %]_div .response_column:nth-child(2) {
    width: 100px;
}
</style>

<style>
#[% QuestionName() %]_div .response_column:nth-child(2) {
    width: 30%;
}
</style>

The other option involves expanding the entire question.  By default, questions usually display with a width of 800px.  A CSS rule like this could change that for wide enough screens:

<style>
#[% QuestionName() %]_div {
    width: 90%;
}
</style>

A combination of both options might also suit your liking.
