Why individual utilities and importance's change when delete some respondents?

Hello Sawtooth Software Team

I first run results then after discussion in the team we realised its better to check utilities and attribute importances by gender and other demographic variables independently. Here I am very sure next time when I meet the team they will ask me why the individual utilities are not the same when this analysis was done separately?

With thanks

In each HB analysis, you can think of an individual's utilities as depending on the choices that individual made (which don't change) and a model built from the choices all respondents made.  When you drop some respondents, that latter part, the model built from all respondents' choices, changes a little and this results in slight changes to any given respondent's utilities.
