ask a single fixed task in a survey

Hi, I want to ask a single fixed task in a survey. Basically we want to present four options and ask respondents which one they will choose from,  and summarize the %.

How do I set it up in Sawtooth?

If the options are very simple this could be done with a Select Question.

If the options are made up of attributes with levels, then you could set this up as a CBC with just 1 task made up of 4 options.

You can import the design of the 1 task CBC such that  the 4 options are configured in the way you want.
Generating and exporting a design will provide a template for you to amend and then import - making it easier to ensure the 4 options are configured in the way you want.

Just be aware that if you "trick" Sawtooth Software's CBC program into doing a single fixed choice task, then it will not be able to estimate utility scores, importance scores, conduct market simulations.

There is, however, a way to use CBC software with just a single choice task per person, where the tasks differ across people (attribute level combinations making up product differ) such that using a pooled (aggregate) model utilities, importances, and market simulations could be estimated and conducted.
