Is it possible to set something like a time limit for text questions?

Hello everybody,

I was wondering whether it is possible to set a time limit on text questions to make sure that  participants cannot click the next button until 20sec are over.  Is there any chance to create such a time limit in SSI?

Many thanks in advance

Pop this in the footer of your question ...

This will hide the navigation buttons for 20 seconds.
<script>
    $(document).ready(function(){
      $("div.submit_div").slideUp(00).delay(20000).fadeIn(1000);
    });
</script>

Hello Maike,

Sure, this is possible. The idea is to show the Next button once respondent has spent 20 seconds on that screen. Here is the code you can use.

In header 1 of question

<style>

#next_button
{
display:none;
}
</style>

In footer of question

<script>

$(document).ready(function(){

var k=0;
setInterval(function(){
if(k==20)
{
$("#next_button").show();
}
k++;

},1000);

});

</script>
