Can i do Menu based Modeling using CBC

Instead of just allowing one choice at a time, can I use menu based modelling if I just hv the CBC SSI? Would it be usefull to use SMRT?

The CBC software can be used to create the experimental design for menu-based problems.  And, "Free Format CBC" questions can be designed using SSI Web (to capture menu-based responses, and you can add your own Javascript to make the prices of the items sum to a total).  Then, results could be modeled (with a lot of custom data processing work on your part) using CBC/HB software.  Then, you could build a simulator using Excel.

This is all quite a bit of work.  The MBC paper I wrote in the 2010 Sawtooth Software Conference Proceedings tells a bit about how to do this.

But, it is multiple days of work... some of it quite tricky.  So, it is not for the timid.

SMRT will not be helpful to you for this menu-based CBC work.
