Categorical variables in the upper-level model CBC/HB

Question

Dear Sawtooth Users,

I have a doubt concerning the usage of categorical variables in the upper-level model as covariates with CBC/HB.
For variables with more than 2 categories, are dummy variables created automatically by the software from the categorical variables or do I have to create them manually?
