List limits?
I was wondering what the code limit was for any parent list? Is it 9999?
Thanks.

I do not believe the software has any hard limit for list lengths, although you may experience some slowing in performance in the list manager for incredibly large lists.

...and slowing when attempting to export your data, change settings in analysis, etc. This is especially true if long lists are used in loops! Slow-downs in accessing analysis settings and the like are caused when long lists are used as question options because it has to load them all in as potential variables for filtering/export/cross-tabs/etc.. If you're using it for a non-question-option reason, like as text strings for different languages, then it won't have nearly the rippling impact because it was only used for display and doesn't roll through into the analysis.
Thanks gentlemen. Appreciate your helpful comments.
